How to evaluate a patient with multiple injuries

There are several systems uses in the hospital to evaluate the severity of a injury. but most of time we use Injury Severity Score which is also known as Trauma scoring. This type of analysing give the correct method should use for the treatments. In short term we called them as HTI (Hospital trauma Index)

There are 6 grades in a Hospital trauma index which will explain the severity of the trauma

0 = None
1 = Minor
2 = Moderate
3 = Major but not life threatening
4 = severe, life threatening, but survival possible
5 = Critical, survival uncertain

As you can see this traumatic conditions are very exciting for all the hospital staff. You should be quick and precise to get a good decision.

Sample HTI chart is below

Sometime there are multiple injuries which will not tell the correct severity of the traumatic condition by using AIS or HTI. In this situation the result should consider for some extend and go for the correct prognosis Until you recover the full condition.
In practicle life there are three condition levels we consider as

1. death rare in any patient under the age of 50 if the score is < 10
2. Mortality 4-30% depending on age is survival 10-20 score
3. Only rare survival in exceptional circumstances and with prompted treatment If the score is >50

Always we should not stick to the HTI chart but monitor the patient properly and always for a better treatment.
